Traffic Citation Defense
Got a traffic ticket? Let our attorneys fight it.
Representation to seek a dismissal or reduction of your traffic citation. Fees range from $150 to $500 depending on the charge.
Three steps, about ten minutes
1. Tell us about the ticket
Enter your citation number, the court, and your details so we can pull the case.
2. Upload your evidence
Photograph your ticket and add any photos of the road, signage, or your dash camera stills.
3. We take it from here
An attorney reviews the file, contacts the court, and works toward a dismissal or reduction.
Before you pay that ticket
Paying a ticket is pleading guilty
In North Carolina, paying the fine is an admission of guilt. The conviction goes on your record, the court reports it, and the costs that follow are far bigger than the number printed on the citation.
Insurance goes up for years
An ordinary speeding conviction typically raises premiums around 40% for three years. More serious convictions can push that to 55-70% or higher. Most drivers pay thousands more in insurance than the fine itself.
Points go on your licence
The DMV assigns 2 to 4 points for most moving violations. Rack up 12 points within three years and your licence is automatically suspended.
It stays on your record
A paid ticket is a conviction. Some charges, like reckless driving, are criminal misdemeanours that can surface on background checks and affect employment.
In Mecklenburg County, first-time and clean-record drivers are often eligible for a reduction to a non-moving violation like improper equipment: no DMV points, no insurance increase. That is the outcome we work toward.
Built into your intake
We check the weather against your ticket
Officers write conditions on the citation: clear, dry, daylight. We pull the official hourly weather record for the exact place and time of your stop and flag anything that does not match, including light conditions against sunrise and sunset. Those contradictions go straight into your file.
- Hourly temperature, rain, snow, cloud cover and visibility
- Sunrise and sunset compared with the time on the ticket
- Automatic flags you can confirm or correct before submitting
One fee, no surprises
$150–$500
Your exact fee depends on the charge: low-level infractions sit at the lower end, serious moving violations and criminal charges at the higher end. We confirm your fee after reviewing your ticket. Our attorneys appear in court on your behalf, and court costs and fines set by the court are separate.
